Before Inari Ōkami, whose name is spoken with reverence, I humbly declare these words.
Texts called Inari Norito vary by shrine, region, and source. This page presents a widely circulated form shared by several public texts.
Morning and evening, may you encourage and assist the work by which this household lives, so that we neither grow careless nor neglect our duties,
raise this household to greater prosperity, and grant lives enduring like firm rock,
so that descendants far into the future may flourish like the many spreading branches of a mulberry tree,
let no crooked or wrongful event arise in home or body; and if we should err, may the workings of Kamunaobi and Ōnaobi restore and correct what has been seen and heard,
protect us through night and day and grant us well-being; I humbly declare with reverence.
