TranslationAddress before Amaterasu Sume Ōkami
Priests and ritual abstainers are commanded to listen to the solemn heavenly norito proclaimed before Amaterasu Sume Ōkami, enshrined above the Isuzu River.
May the Emperor’s life and reign endure in strength like firm and everlasting rock. May the imperial children, officials, and all people throughout the realm be protected, favored, and kept in lasting peace.
Pure sacred sake, food offerings, and fifteen hundred sheaves from the sacred estates in the three districts and other regions are arrayed like a mountain. Sheltered by the great tamagushi, the Ōnakatomi proclaims the solemn heavenly words at sunrise on the seventeenth day of the ninth month, and the priests and ritual abstainers are commanded to listen.
The same report and offerings are to be made at Aramatsuri no Miya and Tsukiyomi no Miya.
