TranslationKanname offerings at Toyouke no Miya
By the Emperor’s command, these words are addressed before the kami enshrined on the plain of Yamada in Watarai. The great offerings customarily presented at the Kanname Festival in the ninth month are entrusted to a royal envoy and a Nakatomi envoy, ritually prepared by the Imibe, and reverently offered.
